Brother DCP-135C, DCP-150c, DCP-130c

This is a very good printer. Be careful.

BTW: This printer has no printer cartridge chips. You will love it.

So you can assembly and use any cartridge you want.

Can remove the scanner cover if you need to. So then you have a flat surface where you can scan thins.

Cartridge: Other

  • Most other type you can fill in with a vacuum. Just fill up your syringe half way. Then apply the ink, create a vacuum, the ink will be sucked in automatically.

Cleaning Ink Waste Tank

(There is an other ink waste thank on the left side, this is where your printer will "test-print" before printing.)

  • This is the cleaning waste tank
  • The upper pipe is the air-intake.
  • The lower pipe is the waste ink output. This is where the waste ink goes in to the waste tank.
  • You can remove the sponges. But then make sure the waste ink does not spill all over the place. Also make sure that you do not move your printer up-side-down, etc.
  • Secure the top with some tape, let a small gap for the air intake.

Magenta does not print any more

  • If air get's in the pipes: This is not a problem with this printer. After 2 or 3 or 4 cleaning cycles the air get's pushed out.

There is a problem with magenta. This is because someone pushed in very hard magenta ink, and it leaked.

[cml_media_alt id='5262']IMG_2708[/cml_media_alt]

You can check which color is which and which does not work like so: Just hold a towel below the print head.

Here you can see that it is magenta which does not print.

How to Disassemble the Print-Head

Move the big wheel on the left about 1 cm towards you, as if the printer will turn to feed the paper in. This will release the print-head assembly.

After that you can move the print-head assembly freely without much force.

Move the print-head assembly towards the big wheel. There you can release the head. (little cut outs, slots)

Lose the belly.

Remove the cover.

Remove the flex cable.
